AWA ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the AWA platform at awa.events, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

We collect the following types of information when you use our Platform:

  • Personal information. Name, email address, phone number, and other contact details you provide when creating an account or purchasing tickets.
  • Payment information. Payment card details and billing information are collected and processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. AWA does not store your full card number or CVV on our servers.
  • Event attendance data. Check-in times, ticket scans, and attendance records associated with events you attend.
  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and other usage statistics collected automatically when you access the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Ticket delivery. To process your ticket purchases, generate QR codes, and deliver confirmation emails.
  • Event updates. To send you important information about events you have purchased tickets for, including schedule changes, venue updates, or cancellations.
  • Platform improvements. To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the functionality and user experience of the Platform.
  • Communications. To respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and send promotional communications (with your consent, where required by law).
  • Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following third parties:

  • Stripe. Our payment processor, which handles all payment transactions securely in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
  • Resend. Our email delivery service, used to send transactional emails such as ticket confirmations and event updates.
  • Event promoters. We share your name and relevant ticket information with the event organizer for the purposes of guest list management, check-in, and event operations. Promoters are bound by their own privacy obligations.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active and for an additional period of two (2) years following account closure or your last interaction with the Platform. This retention period allows us to:

  • Fulfil any outstanding legal or contractual obligations.
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
  • Comply with applicable record-keeping requirements.

After the retention period, your personal data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it, including:
